More CHILDREN are KILLED by firearms EACH YEAR than the total number of people killed in the World Trade Center on 9/11/01.

The mission of the PATCH Quilts Project is to raise awareness through visual statements in public displays about the need for firearm safety to protect our children from death or permanent injury. Hopefully the displays will induce more people to protect the children they love from similar fates.

We will make 365 fabric quilts for public display, one for each day of the year. Each quilt will have blocks with a picture of a child and their story, to represent the average number of children through the age of 19 who die each day from firearms. Each quilt will ask, "Can you sleep with this?" Paper blocks will be made for children permanently damaged by firearms.

PATCH is a small, all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We do NOT have any paid directors, officers, staff, or fund raisers.

We need your help in obtaining information on child and teen victims.

If you know a child (under the age of 20) whose death was the result of a firearm shooting, including suicide, click here.
