he Renaissance Historical Society of Florida was founded in 1982 by the Society's Director, Joe Allen, and by George Earl Brown and Dan Fitzgerald. Recognition of the Society has increased over these 21 years. Our main event of the year is our spectacular Italian Renaissance Festival. This year, we celebrated our 22nd anniversary by holding our festival at the famed Hialeah Park.

n March 26th, 27th and 28th, 2004, we returned to 15th century Italy. Our Chessmasters d' Italia fought bravely in the LivingChess© Game. Te performance of the Masque d' San Marco Court Dancers at the Renaissance Ball was ever so enjoyable. Our Symple Pleasures peasant dance troupe frolicked about, circling, siding, and slipping to the sweet sounds of the violin and the Musical Discord Ensemble. Our lovely ladies of the Courtesan Court flirted enticingly, and our bawdy wenches, the "ladies" of the Dagger & Rose sang boldly in their Review.
